The holiday season is quickly approaching, bringing with it expectations based on Norman Rockwell paintings and sentimental Christmas movies. Dr. Dena Cabrera joins Allen and Melody to tackle the topic of holiday expectations which are many time unrealistic, and consequently, stress provoking. The abundance of holiday foods, combined with the added stress of the season, can result in emotional eating. Dr. Cabrera will discuss simple strategies to help you avoid the trap of over indulging this holiday season.
Dr. Dena Cabrera is a licensed psychologist in the State of Arizona and has been on staff at Remuda Ranch Treatment Centers for over 11 years. Dr. Cabrera is an expert in the psychodiagnostic assessment and treatment of eating disorders and Axis II pathology. She has been involved in program development, staff training and supervision in the clinical practice of eating and anxiety disorders throughout the Remuda system. She presents to national audiences on state-of-the-art treatments for difficult mental health problems. Dr. Cabrera has published numerous articles and has appeared in several media interviews.
